Blueair 211+, 211+ Auto & 211i Max Filter Guide
Blueair has used 211 across several related-looking purifiers, but the plus sign, Auto word, and i Max suffix point to different official filter records. Blue Pure 211+, Blue Pure 211+ Auto, and Blue Pure 211i Max should be treated as three model checks—not as spelling variants of one appliance.
1. Where to find the model number on the device label
Unplug the purifier, remove the fabric pre-filter or open the unit only as described in the manual, and inspect the product label inside the purifier. Blueair’s current replacement-filter pages specifically direct customers to find the model name on the label inside the unit.
Copy every symbol and suffix: 211+, 211+ Auto, and 211i Max are distinct strings. If the fabric color or exterior styling is the only visible clue, stop and locate the internal label before ordering.
2. Similar models that are not compatible
The standard Blue Pure 211/211+ uses its own Particle + Carbon family. Blueair states that the 211+ Auto replacement is compatible with the 211+ Auto model only and warns against using it in the standard 211+. The current 211i Max uses the separate F2MAX family.
Blue Pure 311 Auto and 311i Max are additional near-name traps with their own official filters. A seller title containing 211 or Max should not be expanded to those models without an exact official relationship.
3. Filter components and required quantity
Each of these 211 variants uses one main particle-and-carbon or HEPASilent particle-and-carbon filter at a time, but the physical replacement family differs by model. The colored outer fabric pre-filter is a separate washable component that is normally cleaned and reused unless damaged or intentionally replaced.
A package marked one filter is one replacement cycle. Do not count the reusable fabric sleeve as a disposable filter included in every main-filter box, and do not assume a specialty media variant fits all 211 models.
4. OEM and aftermarket buying cautions
For OEM purchases, use the current model-specific page and record the named family: standard 211+, 211+ Auto, or F2MAX for 211i Max. Blueair has changed storefront URLs over time, so the compatible-model statement is more important than a copied retail URL.
For aftermarket products, require the complete model string and compare frame shape, dimensions, base seal, carbon construction, and pack count. A claim of fits Blueair 211 series is too broad unless the maker separately lists each supported model and the physical specification aligns.
5. Common model-specific confusion
The plus sign is easy to omit in search, Auto can be mistaken for a control feature rather than a model name, and 211i Max can be shortened to 211 Max by sellers. These shortcuts can collapse three official fitment records into one misleading result set.
Blueair also sells specialty variants such as allergen- or smoke-focused media. Those names describe a filtration option for a particular chassis; they do not create universal compatibility across 211+, 211+ Auto, and 211i Max.
6. Official-source check date and change history
Official US sources checked September 1, 2026: Blueair’s Blue Pure 211+ family page, 211+ Auto Particle + Carbon page, F2MAX/211i Max page, and Blue Pure manual directory.
Change log: September 1, 2026 — initial publication; recorded Blueair’s explicit 211+ Auto-only warning and separated the F2MAX model. Future storefront renames or specialty-filter additions will be kept as dated changes rather than merged into a generic 211 recommendation.

How this guide was prepared
Filter Fit separates compatibility evidence from purchase availability. Exact model identity, region, revision, and authoritative source scope are reviewed before a relationship is treated as verified.
